The Carrier Roller, also known as Top Roller or Upper Roller, is mounted above the track frame of the Komatsu PC400-8 crawler excavator.

For a 40-ton class excavator, the undercarriage operates under heavy dynamic loads during digging, travelling and continuous working conditions. The carrier roller supports the upper track chain, maintains correct chain alignment and reduces friction between moving undercarriage components.
