 Purpose


The mining flameproof and intrinsically safe vacuum electromagnetic starter is suitable for use in underground coal mines with explosive risk, where methane gas mixtures may be present. The starter is used in AC 50Hz power supply systems with voltages up to 1140V and rated currents up to 400A, to control the starting, stopping, and reversing (during shutdown) of three‑phase AC asynchronous motors driving mining machinery and equipment. It enables control functions such as local control, remote control, and automatic drainage, while providing protection for the motors and supply circuits. When networked, it can be integrated into mine monitoring and control systems to achieve automated control of power supply equipment.

It can display real‑time parameters such as system voltage, three‑phase current, and equipment status, as well as fault type, fault parameters, and fault occurrence time.

  4. All protection parameters can be adjusted via the menu. The starter features multiple protection functions including overload, short‑circuit, earth leakage lockout, undervoltage, phase loss, three‑phase imbalance, and overvoltage absorption. It offers a wide application range and high protection accuracy.

  5. Equipped with fault memory and query functions. All protection parameters after each adjustment are stored in memory and automatically retrieved upon next power‑on or system reset. The protector also stores fault information, including the specific time of fault occurrence, for later query.

  6. The menu operation keys on the protector allow convenient access to functions such as protection setting modification, protection testing, information query, and operating mode selection.

  7. Equipped with an intrinsically safe RS‑485 communication interface for easy remote monitoring and control.
