1. Power and Transmission Assembly

This chassis is equipped with Sinotruk MC11 series 420HP diesel engine, which outputs huge torque at low RPM to deliver sufficient power for climbing and long-distance transport after being fitted with heavy tank or cargo box, balancing strong performance and fuel economy. Mechanical injection engine version is available for overseas markets, without complicated electronic control parts for simple maintenance, and spare parts are widely supplied worldwide, suitable for remote mines and construction sites with poor infrastructure.
Matched with HOWO 12-speed high-low range manual transmission, low gears amplify torque for heavy-load startup and steep slopes, while high gears reduce engine RPM to save fuel. The heavy-duty large-diameter clutch avoids slipping and overheating under long-term full-load operation to extend the service life of the whole driveline. The 400L large-capacity aluminum fuel tank greatly extends driving range and reduces frequent refueling during long construction missions.

It adopts mature 8×4 four-axle 12-wheel layout, twin front steering axles plus dual 16-ton HC16 heavy-duty drive axles, with much higher load capacity than 6×4 three-axle chassis and larger legal payload limit. The frame is integrally stamped with double-layer thickened high-strength manganese steel, excellent in anti-torsion and anti-impact performance, without permanent deformation after long-term full-load fitting of superstructures.
Widened and thickened multi-leaf heavy-duty spring suspensions deliver outstanding shock absorption on bumpy mine and rural dirt roads to protect upper tanks and equipment. Dual front steering axles provide a large steering angle for flexible turning in narrow factories and construction yards. Standard 12.00R20 deep-tread off-road tires are wear-resistant and puncture-proof for complex road conditions including paved highways and muddy gravel construction sites. Metal protective wire mesh is installed on front headlamps to prevent lamp damage from flying gravel on site, and a yellow warning lamp on the cab roof improves safety visibility during night work. Full air brake system with standard ABS ensures stable braking on downhill heavy loads to avoid skidding and rollover.
